It was my childhood passion for helping people, longing for social justice, and desire to make a difference in the world that pushed me to attain my Masters in Social Work from The Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis. I have continued to strive to live out my life’s mission to make a difference throughout my 19+ years as a social worker.
I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy through the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA), the leading professional organization dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of excellence in EMDR practice. Achieving EMDRIA Certification required extensive specialized training, clinical experience, and ongoing consultation beyond foundational EMDR training. To remain current with the latest research and best practices, I maintain active membership in EMDRIA and pursue continuing education to ensure I provide high-quality, evidence-based care.
Infusing creativity, authenticity and, at times, even humor in my work, I have worked in a variety of practice settings, including partnering with men and women in substance use recovery and providing community education presentations. Branching out into private practice has been a long-time dream, as I find joy in helping clients attain wholeness and healing. I would love the chance to be a part of your recovery journey!
